CLD 6 Holds Graduation In Muskogee

The Community Leadership Development Class 6 held the 2018 graduation ceremony on Friday, February 9th at the Best Western Conference Center in Muskogee.

Thursday evening the City of Muskogee and the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce hosted a reception at the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. The class was greeted by Ashley Wilbourn, Director of Tourism, Muskogee Chamber of Commerce. The class enjoyed looking around the museum and then enjoyed a baked potato dinner followed by live music!

Friday morning, the CLD class gathered at the Best Western Conference Center.  Mayor Bob Coburn gave a warm welcome to the class along with Ashley Wilbourn, Tourism Director of the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce.

The CLD class was given group projects as their final assignment.  The project was to create a successful response to a RFP to make a strong business case to show a competitive advantage in the food processing industry.  Martin Roberts, Oklahoma Department of Commerce and Sarah Lingenfelter, OML were this year’s judges.  After all the presentations the judges deliberated and announced the winners as Team 3!!

The CLD class was presented with their certificates of completion. OML’s Program Manager, Cheryl Adams closed out this year’s CLD 6 with congratulating everyone and encouraged them to “to never ever give up” and to journal their goals and “wins”!
