OML Announces New Field Representative Program

March 15, 2018

To better serve its membership across Oklahoma, OML has begun a new Field Representative program, which divides the state into eleven districts.  Each district is led by an OML staff member, who will be the point of contact whenever a community has a need, question or concern.

As a part of the program, the six field representatives are scheduling the first Round Table meetings in each district.  According to field representative, Cheryl Adams, the purpose of the meetings is for community and district leaders to come together to meet one another and discuss current issues that are relevant to their areas.  “The Field Representations are there to help organize the first Round Table meetings. From there, we are hopeful that the communities will take the lead in organizing future Round Table meetings within their districts,” Adams said.

Executive Director, Mike Fina, said this program is geared towards creating better communication between OML and its members, as well as providing a forum through which the communities within a region can meet and network together on common goals and needs.

“One primary goal is to put an OML staff person with our members, someone that the community can grow to know and trust and develop a relationship.  Another goal is to bring our communities within the districts together so that they can work on common issues and goals together,” Fina said.

The Inaugural Round Table meetings are scheduled as follows:

Elk City Round Table: March 28th
Pryor Round Table: March 29th
Ardmore Round Table: April 3rd
Henryetta Round Table: April 6th
