OML is proud to announce that the Honorable Kim Peterson, Mayor of the City of Guymon, has been appointed to the OML Board of Directors. Mayor Peterson has replaced Richard Chapman for District 11 and states “It is an honor to follow Richard Chapman in this position.”

Mayor Peterson is a strong supporter of Economic Development in Guymon and the Oklahoma Panhandle as a whole. He travels frequently “down state” to represent his area where he is lobbying legislation, attending state board meetings and participating in training sessions.

Mayor Peterson is passionate about his community as he often states “Guymon was a great place to grow up, has been a great place to raise a family, and my job as an elected official is making and keeping it a great place for everyone”.

Mayor Peterson has also served on the Mayor’s Council of Oklahoma Board of Directors since 2012 and was MCO President for 2016 and 2017. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Economic Development Authority, and the Guymon Industrial Foundation. He is a past Board Member of the Guymon Chamber of Commerce, the City of Guymon Rodeo Board, the City of Guymon Convention and Tourism Board, Guymon Kid’s Inc., and Guymon United Way.

The OML Board of Directors welcomed Mayor Peterson to the board last month and are confident that he will bring viable insight to the board during his tenure.
